Feedback for record album idea
During the presentation people gave feedback on their opinions of the album covers and they all choose the bridge idea as the main choice for my final piece of work.
Jasmine - I think your ideas for your album cover with the bridge is a good idea, but the back of the album cover looks bit boring and doesn't really tell a story.
Angel - I think the bridge idea is simplistic but effect. I think the black and white would work well with the style of the band.
Dani - I think the design concept is very cliché however I believe it could work if its produced well.
Robyn - It would be better if you combined idea 2 and 3 together to produce a more visual pleasing effect for the concept of the photograph.
Re-anaylasis of my record album design
After colliding with dilemmas which obstructed my ability to conceive my idealistic record album I have been able to quickly construct a more realistic option within a short span of time, I was unable to provide a suitable guitar case which looked like the typical 70s style case and the leather jacket which had tassels emerging from the back and the arms, the jacket didn't fit any of the models which I had supplied because their shoulder structure was much larger to the jacket however in conclusion the record album cover which I have produced I am significantly impressed with how I was capable of developing the concept of the photograph.
Ideas
Layout of text design
For the layout of the text I was going to have the name of the photographer and the album name written about quarter of the way up, so its not directly in the middle of the photograph, I would also have the font as a more distorted text to show the genre of music 'rock'.
Album name/artist
For this record album cover my idea of the artist name would be Karen Curbec, I have chosen this name because I believe it goes with the idea of having a rock artist and it complements my design superbly.
The record album name which I have produced is Roses Of The Dead, the reason I have chosen this name because I thought it worked well with the concept of the photograph because of the roses which I have symboled the photos with.
Concept of the design
For the design of the record album cover I decided on having a retro guitar placed on a stand, I would then place a bloomed rose in the centre of two guitar strings, keeping it stable - I would then take a mid shot of this guitar with the rose being the main focus of the piece however in photoshop.
I would then edit the guitar into black and white and leave the flower to be a bright red to give definition to the photograph, I would overlay a photo which is a side portray of a female model holding a rose.
She would also be transformed into a black and white piece however excluding the rose again, I would then have the opacity of the photograph mid way to be able to see the guitar through the portraiture of the girl.

Feedback/response about the album cover
Jasmine - For your final piece of the record album cover I believe it instigates what you are trying to prospect towards your target audience and it is shown by how you've collaborated two physical objects which have different representations behind them into one and creating such a unique concept.
Robyn - Your record album cover has an impact on how the target audience would be persuaded for purchase by how delicate and divine the imagery is portrayed, it has a sense of curiosity and emotion which can be seen through the expression of the piece of work i.e the way the wording has been addressed and how the layout of the imagery is done.
Evaluation
For my final piece which I have produced I feel extremely satisfied with the outcome of my work even though there were issues along the way I was able to overcome them and fabricate my work to the high standard to which I started off with, I was able to come up with a quick solution and formulate a unique and diverse record album cover for the targeted audience and have the same impact as other covers do for their desired audience.
I believe my cover as a whole does have a significant visual impact as other covers do because of how compelling and engaging the imagery which I have used is, in my opinion I feel as if my album cover expresses a story and instigates what my photography is trying to say about the album and the meaning/emotions behind the concept of it whereas other covers seem to be very simplistic but effective and even though my cover has more variety I still believe it has the same impact as if it was a authentic cover.
The response that my album cover gains from the target audience is that they think that you can see the story which I'm trying to express through my imagery, it is also appealing to the eye and very fulfilling to the concept of the idea of what I am trying to portray.
The strengths of my cover is how I was able to develop a unique and varied piece of work with two photos which both have connections but are both opposite to a point where they work well together and both collide to create a story and I believe that this is my strongest area within the cover design because I've created such a different composition of objects/people that it works and im very satisfied with how i've accomplished it.
The weakness of my cover is that my front isn't as fulfilling as the back however it was a very complicated adjustment towards my cover as a whole, I had to start from scratch and re-adjust my ideas and create something within a short span of time, so in a way for something which was produced from last thought I think I've achieved what I set out to do in the beginning and possibly even better than I thought it would of turned out to be.
In my opinion I don't think I could improve my album cover because it turned out better than I expected it to so I'm very satisfied with my end result however if I was too change something I would of probably developed my ideas further and had more time to process what I wanted to achieve as my end product however I think that both my front and back cover have an equal amount of contrast between the two and they coincide with each other lovely, they both bring the album cover to its full potential and I wouldn't change it.
In conclusion I believe that the work I have produced is sufficient and provides equivalent evidence that the album cover foretells a story and has a meaning behind the imagery, I am extremely satisfied with what I have produced.
