In this photograph, what I can see is a gentleman who is standing in the middle of the road while its pouring down with rain, he has a very stiff posture which gives a representation of sorrow and loneliness, this can be seen because he's looking so gloomily at the floor, as if he's just trying to forget and not wanting to remember anything.

I also see that the sun is either setting or rising however this adds tremendously towards the photograph because it makes the image look musky and glum, it gives it a much darker and sinister atmosphere towards it.

The way the man is looking towards the drenched floor it gives an idea of him thinking, wether he's contemplating life or he's got a regret he can't forget, it represents that something has previously happened where its ruined his life or his past has come back to haunt him and he

just can't take the pain any longer.

The emotions I get from this photograph is very emotionally deep because the colours are such a massive contrast with each other and how its been formatted it gives off the strong and powerful message behind this photograph i.e depression, this is the sense which I gather from looking into this photograph, all the colours together give a combination of mystery and coldness because we don't know whats initially going off within the photograph however we make our own assumptions of the possibilities which the image represents.

A photograph of any kind can have a thousand meanings behind it because everyone has different thoughts on what an photograph is trying to suggest/communicate to its audience especially this photograph in particular because you can get any allegations from this photograph i.e he could have found something which he's holding in his hands and he just can't believe it because he thought he lost it forever or he's recently got a text and just can't comprehend what he's just read, everyone has different insights on what they see and geographically one photograph could mean something different to the next person depending on how their lifestyle is or what they visually see when they look into it.

The colours which I can see within the photograph are very dark and malicious colours - blue, black, greens, whites and reds they all combine together to create a meaning behind the photograph, the colours within this photograph are the main centre piece because the colours are what initially show the most emotions, it technically represents what the photograph is based on in a sense because its able to give you the connection of the emotions which are running rapidly through this image.

The effect of the colours make me personally feel saddened and withdrawn because the black/greys give me a dark and heartless feeling whereas the shades of blue make me feel coldness and muted, the colours are extremely prominent within this image which intensifies the feeling of despair.

The light which has been used is again very bare however theres a very bright and vivid light glaring down towards the ground in the back of the photograph, its perspective helps people because it shows them where the photograph ends and this stops our eyes from purposefully leaving the photograph its self and we can't get lost within our own thoughts and making the photograph have more context than what it really holds, the photograph has a border within it, this is highly useful because it gives it a frame and aims your eyes towards the centre of the photograph where the important area is, it compels the audience to stay within its boundaries and doesn't have people feeling confused and more relieved because their able to get a better understanding of the photograph without the worry of a crowded photograph, also the light is also a stopping point in which the audience can't escape, the light reflects from the glass on the building which glistens on the floor creating a very sharp leading line which indicates towards the car - it shows that they are the topic of the photograph. -

The composition of the photograph has a very small and empty space because of the border like edges, it has everything simultaneously in the middle of the photo which directs your eyes straight towards that area because thats where you get the most powerful effect from the image.

The way the photograph has been pieced together is very spectacular because they have cut the photograph into three different sections so this makes the audience capable of having a more pleasant look at it rather than an eye-sore trying to look at everything whereas you can look at specific parts and focus clearly on what matters.

The photograph has astonishing leading lines because they have been used very appropriately and also discretely because you wouldn't notice them at first glance yet they take your eyes swiftly around the photograph and towards the main point of the image, all the leading lines attach to one another helping the audience to navigate around i.e the white road lines leads towards the telegraph lines which then lead towards the building and then back down the telegraph pole which concludes to the specific area of the photograph with the gentleman and his car, the leading lines add sublime detail and narrates the photograph.

In conclusion, this photograph personally shows a lot of deep and malicious tragedies that have occured in the past or recently have divulged and the reason why I have this perspective is because of the dark and dull colours which have been represented within the photograph, it shows a story of of someone who has sorrow and has a lot of deep regrets, all the symbols and signs within the photograph all give me the impression that they all point towards the same reason as to why he's stood within the pouring rain looking so miserable by himself in the dark.

The photograph is simplistic but highly creative it shows a lot of passion, dedication and emotion within the image, it has a wide range of different symbols and sighs which indicate what the photograph could represent.

Every aspect of the photograph is brilliantly made and has real depth of emotion throughout leaving the audience either in confusion, wonder or even heartbreak, it all comes down to what someone personally sees and what they've personally been through and no matter what the photograph could of been everyone sees it differently.
